The goal of the Department of Space Information technology is training of specialists capable of providing effective design and implementation of technical systems for operating in the near-Earth space in all their complexity and taking into account market environment.
To create an economy based on knowledge and real manufacturing – on implementation of modern manufacturing techniques, to guarantee accordance of academic and professional competences of educational institutions graduates with requirements of the modern manufacturing is only possible with immediate participation of business in organization of the educational process.
«Today I have seen an essentially new approach to creation of rocket and space machines," said Leonid Kuchma. "Engineering and manufacturing techniques have advanced so substantially that all parts and units have much smaller mass. If earlier one would have to use a 100 kg gyroscope, now spacecraft can be built without gyros at all. However, today, the most important for Ukraine – if it does not want to lag behind the world progress, it has to pay attention not only to humanitarian education, but also to engineering and manufacturing technologies... I think that students, with whom I have communicated, will have their say yet. Among them, I have seen chief designers and, probably, a future Yangel.»
Developers of spacecraft and means of their implementation should obtain fundamental scientific knowledge. The key moment in their training is studying essentially new methods and technologies of manufacturing of spacecraft based on modern principles of organization of manufacturing.
This is a joint project of the company Noosphere and leading universities of Ukraine. The school represents a center of scientific and research activity, the goal of which is to unite theoretical and practical approaches in creation and implementation of innovative ideas.
